email studios@cellprojects.org with your cv and a description of your practice for an up to the minute list of what's available right now. Cell does not keep a long waiting list as we know that if you're looking for a studio at any point, you want to know what's available at that point, not six months later.

Unlike other studio providers, Cell does not charge any registration fee for applying for one of our studios, we simply request a cv and description of what your practice entails so that we can point you towards studios which will be suitable for your practice.

We provide long term secured, fixed rent, managed studios for artists within creative communities. Cell is a self regulating, non profit seeking organisation.

Since founding the organisation in 2000, Cell has continued working with a remit to protect artists working conditions and rents and create and nurture dynamic and creative communities within their buildings and the wider community. Cell is committed to seeding creative networks, and its founders have contributed to conferences and presentations in relation to studio provision at Arts Council of England seminars, Whitechapel Gallery panel discussions, AN - Artists Network conferences and London and National Higher Education Fine Art departments. Cell Studios aims to provide high quality, professional creative workspace at affordable prices in a cross-fertilisational environment, where creatives from a variety of disciplines may generate projects for and with one another.

The majority of Cell's studios are aimed at fine artists, particularly painters, sculptors, photographers, installation artists, film and video makers, curators, creative writers, media based artists and all other creative disciplines. Our Arcola Street building offers the additional facility of an  environment, which is more appropriate for screen-based practitioners, offering central heated open plan and self contained studios, best described as 'clean space' provision.

We offer flexible rental terms, high quality, low-cost space in a highly creative and professional environment in great locations, which are central to the creative hub of London. For more information or to arrange a visit to any of our buildings contact us with details of your work to arrange an appointment.
