£24,700-£32,500 Pro-Rata, depending on experience

Cell Project Space is seeking to recruit a passion-driven and production-focused practitioner to become the Gallery’s Production Manager. This is an exciting role within the organisation that would suit a candidate with hands-on practical experience working across various disciplines within project management, exhibition installation, or general technical support with an ability in one or more of three areas; fabrication and carpentry, digital design, or audio visual presentation or production, with at least two years of employment within a gallery, visual and media arts events organisation or a professional artist studio.
The primary function of the Production Manager’s role is to support the curatorial team with the production and delivery of Cell Project Space’s exhibitions and events programme. Liaising with the curatorial team you will practically support a cohesive series of exhibitions and events and demonstrate a commitment to representing Cell Project Space to the public at many levels. The role requires excellent self-management and practical skills and a passion for technical problem solving alongside well-developed interpersonal skills essential to working closely with artists and applying knowledge to support exhibition installation. The Production Manager will work closely with Cell’s experienced gallery technician and external contracted staff to support them practically with a diverse range of technical needs.
In addition to installation duties you will provide efficient multi-tasking administrative support to the curatorial team whilst fulfilling front of house duties in the office being the first point of contact for visitors during public opening hours along with the gallery’s Associate Curator.
