In his practice artist Andrew Child recodes found stylistic images from contemporary culture to find an alternative logic within these images. Reducing them down to their core components in order to reconstruct the remaining fragments in meticulous and precise way. By the means of collaging images Child engages with the modernist ploys that occur within Cubism and Surrealism, while placing them in a contemporary context.
