Jamie Robinson combines techniques inherent in traditional fine art practice; drawing, sculpture and bricolage. She sees these objects as works in their own right but also uses them as props for her performance lectures. The nostalgic melting pot of organic and mechanical references in the images become points of orientation for discussions encouraging consideration of societal systems often taken for granted, be that the effects of technology, the internet or surveillance culture.
