Simon and Tom Bloor

Simon & Tom Bloor’s (b. 1973) works and projects use a range of media including publications, drawing, sculpture and installation to investigate moments of utopian potential and flawed idealisms. With an approach to research that has been described as more ‘magpie-like’ than academic, their work often adapts existing texts and images culled from a variety of sources, filtering and re-presenting this information to reveal hidden connections and obscure histories or to create shifts in context that encourage new readings and alternative interpretations.
